DIY tape wall stripes

Share

DIY electrical tape wall stripes! this is sort of in line with the get color no paint posts sequence of posts i posted a while ago on how to get color (or in this case graphic interest) without using paint! this idea comes from a very inspiring DIY and interior design blog High Heeled Foot in The Door and she promises this will not strip and paint off of your walls. she recommends buying the 2″ wide electrical tape to get those wider stripes. measure and mark with pencil and then get to taping! in my old apartment i painted big wide stripes in a beautiful shimmery pastel plum color in my bedroom and it was such a great effect. vertical stripes really bring glamour and height to any room.

Looks Great Kate! I did a tone on tone stripe in the dining room using the same color of paint (BM HC-12) and one in semi gloss 1/4 shade darker. It's my favorite! Love these tape stipes with all the interesting mirrors and prints! Kudos!
