the gardens of marqueyssac are located in france above the Dordogne valley and were designed over three hundred years ago. in the summer, the gardens are candlelit and live musicians play throughout the gorgeous landscape.
over the years, the garden and the chateau has been maintained to stay true to the original architecture and landscape design. the consistent hedge throughout is called a boxwood tree – and they are shaped to resemble flocks of sheep.
in 1996, kleber rossillion bought and restored the gardens and reopened them to the public.
