DIYable: fabric covered old suitcases

Share

i love old suitcases! a pile of them makes a great side or accent table and they also provide storage! i decorate with them often and i love this idea of sprucing them up with some beautiful, colorful fabric! it makes them look more feminine and bohemian and could also be really cute as storage in a kid’s room. the options are endless, depending on what fabric you choose!

all you need is an old suitcase, fabric, modge podge, foam or paint brush and a rotary cutter to trim the fabric. paint your suitcase with a layer of modge podge, lay down your fabric with some excess overlay and tuck it into the seams of the suitcase. then trim with your rotary cutter and voila! A Beautiful Mess has a great step-by-step photo tutorial. fun!
