Monday Mood: Fantasy meets function, Dream Space, Real Life
There are many ways to measure the successes and satisfaction of your life, but sometimes these qualitative categories have us motivated by misleading standards, thinking that what we have isn’t enough. But here’s the truth: square footage, shoe count, social followers, or scenic snapshots are all just tools to help us build the best world around us. None of them can amount to anything more than the extent that they make you happy. As far as I’m concerned, if you’re living a life 5-year-old you would only dream about, you’re doing it the right way. Look at what you have and what you’ve made through your younger self’s big, bright eyes — realize how special everything you’ve accomplished is, and then congratulate yourself with a nice cup of tea … or maybe a new pair of shoes.
