      Dear Mr Kate.

I currently have a ceiling fan in my room with three 60 watt bulbs. They aren’t very bright and I was wanting to change out the ceiling fan for a brighter one or even just a light fixture with no fan. It needs to be fairly bright (the room is in the basement with one small window) and something flush mount or close to that since the ceilings are very low. I’ve tried looking everywhere and I don’t know where or what I should even be looking for. If you have any tips or favorite stores I can look at online it would be very helpful.

Ps. I’ve been looking online at one from ikea called Svirvel and it has 5 GU10 bulbs and I don’t know if it’s a good choice or not since I can’t find much information about it online. Please send advice as it would be greatly appreciated☺️

        Hi Levi!

Thanks for posting!! I’m not sure what the style of you room is, but the good news is that there are lots of awesome ceiling light styles available online, so you don’t need to settle! You can find something that brings brightness into the room and makes it look amazing.

I looked up the Swirvel and noticed it has a new bulbs, which is great for adding light to the room. The more bulbs the better! Amazon has this awesome light that is like a Sputnik chandelier, except flush to the ceiling. (Amazon is also a great resource for different styles of lights if this one isn’t quite your style!) Or if you would like a more modern, or more metallic look, this option from West Elm is also really different and cool!

Hope this helps! Good luck decorating!

        XOXO,

        Mr. Kate & Team
