colorful country nuptials

ahhh it looked so purdy!!! Rachel and Dan’s wedding that is…

i helped Rachel a while ago come up with, and design a color pallet and decorating scheme for her wedding, which actually took place in real life this last Sunday, July 4th 2010! she wanted to do a lot of it on-the-cheap and DIY (love that!) and she worked her butt off making handmade poms, etc. i helped her with some of the poms and we had a girl get-together to pouf them, i designed and formatted their program which she then printed on kraft colored card stock, and we also cut 19 squares of burlap from a giant bolt to be the table runners. the frames were all collected from the flea market and then spray-painted a happy yellow tone. here’s the original color/inspiration board we made months ago:

and this was the inspiration board i put together for the table scapes and center pieces….

it all came together so well and everyone had such an amazing time and thought it was so fun and beautiful! the venue was Walnut Grove and the flowers were done by Alison Franchi of Le Petit Gardenia . there were other details like the candy cane place cards and things that i didn’t get photos of but hopefully i’ll get my grubby little hands on some of the pro wedding photographer’s shots in the next couple weeks and post ’em!
