black can be bright too! as seen in this photo from the late great Domino magazine. i think it’s important to keep in mind when decorating or putting together a color palette to not shy away from black. black in combination with bright colors and classic or ethnic prints (like the ikat print curtains seen here) is the perfect meeting of the minds between masculine and feminine. black doesn’t always have to look industrial or modern, it can be eclectic and bohemian too!…just make sure you have ample natural light and/or lighting in the room where you use black as to not go the dark black route.
