hello? radiation here

Share

i don’t know about you, but i get serious anxiety if i accidentaly forget my cell phone at home. after that ‘oh shit’ moment i have turned my car around on many occasions to retrieve the little device to which i seem waaaay too attached! i’d say i rarely hold the phone to my ear, i’m either emailing, texting or twittering and when i do talk i try to use my handy iPhone headphones (which aren’t really that handy because they’re always tangled – so i’m the girl walking around with a bundle of wires beneath my chin – ‘hello?’). but the issue of cell phone radiation is something to tune into…

recent studies find that there is “significantly higher risks for brain and salivary gland tumors among people who have used cell phones for 10 years or longer.” what ewwww ahhh yikes! i’ve had a cell phone since 8th grade! (and i’m 80!)

see, different cell phones emit different levels of radiation, but they all emit some. right now there isn’t any law in place that forces cell phone companies to rate the radiation emissions, but thankfully the EWG (Environmental Working Group) has! go HERE to see how your cell phone ranks. my iPhone 4 is about in the middle, not great – so i’m going to continue to try my hardest to keep my addictive substance away from my face. —- excuse me i’m getting another call.
