right in the middle of the american southwest lies an unsuspecting luxury resort – Amangiri. located at the mountains of the infamous four corners (where utah, colorado, arizona and nevada all meet), Amangiri is beautifully designed hotel with a swimming pool, a spa, numerous suites built along rock formations, and relaxation spaces.
Amanresorts built this resort based on “a contemporary interpretation of native Indian architecture.”
the main goal of the structure was to respect and reflect it’s natural surrounding environment. this was accomplished by choosing colors that would blend in with the palate of desert. this also goes for the interior design of the space – only subtle and raw colors.
what makes this hotel so incredible is the understated elegance – it doesn’t need grandiose decorations to make an impact. the minimalist design speaks volumes.
