primary colors

colors schemes are always important in interior design, and it’s important to be selective when choosing your particular scheme.  for this set up, i stuck with the primary colors – red, blue and yellow paired with a light seafoam green.  when you walk into a room, your eyes are drawn to the colors.

this telephone doesn’t work but it’s a great decoration for any table.  i love the way the light blue and the light green interact with each other.

it’s always fun to find books with weird titles to put around the house.  going to thrift stores or flea markets and reading book titles is always interesting and you can find awesome ones like this “please don’t eat the daisies” …huh?

i am not always a fan of red, yellow, blue color schemes but when you can add muted shades into the mix, it all of a sudden turns into something unique that really livens up the space.

the contrast between the eroding moroccan style mirror and the american housewife 50s/60s vibe of the telephone bring your attention to a capsule example for the vibe of the entire room.  while you might not want to decorate a whole house in primary colors, it’s a good diversion to have small amounts of color around your house. have fun!
