this weekend i drove down to palm springs, it’s about a two and a half hour drive from LA. i love the dry heat of the desert, so lucky that i live so close. the freeway into palm springs is lined with wind farms!
palm springs is an interesting place, it feels like you’re placed right into the 1960s – mostly because of the architecture. the city gained notoriety in the 1920s, when hollywood movie stars started frequenting the sunny and secluded villas it offered. celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Rresley, Elizabeth Taylor, and Marilyn Monroe were all repeat visitors of this desert oasis.
here i am hiding in the desert brush. it boasts 35o days of sunshine year round but it was perfect weather when we went – just under 90 degrees.
