architect Fredrik Pettersson designed the Sea Bath – located at the Kastrup waterfront in Denmark. the wooden pier extends out over the sea and boasts a trampoline at the far-reaching end for experience divers.
there are built-in benches for sun bathing and relaxing as well as LED floodlights installed for safety. one you’re on the pier, you can enjoy the view of the beach from a far. the best part about the sea bath is that is completely FREE and open to EVERYONE! no age restrictions, no cost -completely public!
the arched walls protect people from wind in all directions while they dry off after swimming. the pier was built with Azobe timber – which is long lasting and will be able to endure prolonged exposure to salt water. this is an amazing example of a public project that went right. it promotes exercise, community as well as a respect for nature.
