a diver/photographer by the name of Andreas Frank has installed a full gallery exhibition UNDERWATER. not only is the gallery underwater, but it is located on the remains of a sunken ship. the ship was called “The Vandenberg” and sunk off the coast of Key West, Florida, where it became a part of the underwater environment, providing homes for both plants and animals.
Frank’s exhibition is titled “The Vandenberg: Life Below the Surface” – and depicts his idea of what life on the ship was like before it sunk. prettyyyy awesome if you ask me. i went scuba diving off the coast of Tarifa, Spain a few years ago and it was a crazy experience. we didn’t go very far under, because it was our first dive ever – but the sea floor is a happening place, let me tell you. i did see an octopus though. very cute.
his images are so beautiful, i love the cool colors and the depth of them. guess i have to take a diving trip off the coast of key west now!
