DIY of the day: kid’s graffiti chair

Share

how great is this!? Anna from Absolutely Beautiful Things made this chair for her 1 year old son Max on his birthday. she found this old chair and had it re-upholstered in white canvas and then her and her husband drew all over it with fabric markers.

i love this idea for a kid’s room but instead, have the kids draw on the chair(s) themselves! re-upholstering just the cushion of a chair is pretty easy to do on your own… check out my DIY burlap upholstery chair here.

you could also interpret this for your grown-up rooms and draw or paint whatever you like on your chair canvas!

DO IT!:

  1. find a chair or couch from the flea market of thrift store
  2. get it re-upholstered or re-upholster it yourself in plain canvas
  3. draw, paint, scribble on it with fabric markers or fabric paint
  4. iron the canvas to set the ink
