DIYable design: re-purposed tubs

Share

here are some fun ways to re-purpose tubs that you may have already, find at flea markets or junk yards, etc. first up: tub couches!

claw-foot tubs can be found at junk yards and building supply junk yards – call around your area to see if any places carry them. you can get them cut at a hardware store or by a handyman, or if you have a saw and ceramic bit, you can cut one yourself – just make sure you have a metal file and sandpaper to sand down the edges. then add some cushions and ta da, a couch! if you have $1200 to spend, you can buy one pre-made from this Etsy shop.

use a vintage tub as storage at the base of a bed – i love this look!

use a smaller, galvanized metal tub with pillows as a dog or cat bed! they sell tubs like this at stores like Cost Plus World Market or nursery/hardware stores.
