style via a closet cleansing

Share

cleansing your closet is as essential as cleansing your colon– it’s gotta be done. it hurts. and it is uncomfortable parting ways with some things. but seriously, are you really going to wear that peplum dress made of teflon with pieces of bacon on it you got at the Barney’s sample sale?! no, you won’t.  (image via Wary Meyers)

low and behold, amongst the cra* you discover while cleansing, you find some real gems. and these gems only look 1,000 times fresher with MR. KATE JEWELRY!

between the scaly vintage leather jacket, and the pointy Spire earrings, with this new (but old) outfit you’ll easily be mistaken for a dinosaur at the tar pits. adding a fat chunk of Worm cuffs and the Kaila ring complete the rose gold look.

the Athena collar gives your neck that extra sumthin’ sumthin’. And we all know how we love collar fun at Mr. Kate—watch the video with Daily Candy if you need proof!

what? is this cleopatra’s wrist orgy circa 25 BC?

this outfit c’est finite with the Gimli, the Bark cuff, the Leaf cuff, the Glow worm cuff all dripping in 18K gold.

this hat. words cannot describe my love for this hat. Goorin Bros created it this summer. 100% American made. leather. a work of art. my inner-flower child (thanks mom) busted out this vintage kimono and sweater dress to make it an easy transition to fall.

the Arke necklace plays well with others, especially little necklaces from Chile that alway catche the eye of a certain lad over the pond.

the antiqued gold fits the woodstock vibe of this oufit best: penny lane meets tom sawyer. hence the Sphinx Claw ring, Sif crown ring and Gimli combo. i’ll take it super-sized please.

-kalin, now what the f*@# do i wear?!
