style round-up: golden globes 2013 dress-up favorites

i don’t usually post fashioney-yy things but i’m hopping on the bangwagon of Golden Globes 2013 style round-ups because who doesn’t like dress-up!?!? i also love to see how talented ladies express themselves through their personal style, so here are my faves of the night…

Lucy Liu in Carolina Herrera was my absolute favorite. it’s like tea party tablecloth in a gown and i love the simple lines and wacky print – so fun!!!

love Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook is a great movie – see it!) and this coral Christian Dior Haute Couture dress with chrome belt was stellar… go Katniss!

i love color and i love this Calvin Klein Collection dress color on the beautiful Jessica Chastain – it’s like baby’s breath blue and i loved her futuristic meets 40’s hair too! oh, and her 3 million worth of Harry Winston diamonds…dayumm!

adore this gold embellished Alexander McQueen dress on Kate Hudson – that neck situation is divine!

speaking of great gold neck situations, let’s take it to the shoulders and down below the boobies with this elegant Alexander Vauthier dress on Michelle Dockery. i love Downton Abbey and i love a shoulder pad with a cap sleeve.

Nicole Richie did ornate embellishments from head to toe with this lilac colored Naeem Khan dress. i love it paired with the rock and roll, fringed House Of Harlow 1960 clutch. her eyeshadow was rockin’ too!

another black and gold moment on the always sexy Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka – so flattering and curvy!

love this color! it’s like creepy coral done so so right. Jessica Alba looks stunning (surprise) in this Oscar de la Renta dress and i love that she went tone on tone with her lipstick too.

tailored to a T Katharine Mcphee – in Theyskens’ Theory. loving the texture of the fabric and the simple lines, plus those shoes – what’s happening? i’m fascinated (in a good way).

i just love her, Tina Fey – how good was she and Amy Pohler as hosts!? i love me some funny and smart ladies. this length is usually questionable for me but she pulls it off with those high shoes and bouncy hair…her hair looks great. this is a custom L’Wren Scott dress – a very vintage, 1940’s look and i dig it!

there were so many great looks at the Golden Globes this year – which were your faves?
