moodboard: watercolor wallpaper, chevron and overdyed rugs

I just started working on the interior design for my friends’ and new clients, AJ and Jenny’s new house. It’s a beautiful, California meets English cottage-style house with beams and tons of windows and french doors. They love bold colors and patterns, especially chevron but the house has some old-world charm, so the challenge is meeting the two styles. Here are the moodboards I created for the living room and adjacent dining room. We’re going to play with watercolor wallpaper (the blue chevron and orange ovals above) as well as toile curtains and over-dyed rugs to bring in the old-to-new style in a fun and vibrant way. Some of the things above are shop-pable online, so if there’s anything you want to bring into your personal home or interior space, see below… I’ll also keep you posted on this project and eventually post before and after photos and hopefully a video!
