Well call me a fairy and put me to sleep under a wall of flowers … no wait, literally!! Home decor becomes ethereal chic with this charming DIY for a floral headboard wall. All you need is a hot glue gun, some faux flowers, scissors, tape, and a little bit of pixie dust!
Okay, just kidding on that last part, but seriously, the final effect of this project is so beautiful that we mayyyyyy have found a way to incorporate it into the Mr. Kate Studios. Is that a spoiler? Oh well, you’ll have to keep watching Office Goals to find out! But in the meantime, get some bedroom, dorm room, or spring party decor inspiration from the tutorial above and check out the step-by-step instructions, below!
Faux flowers (we had about a half dozen bunches)
Hot glue gun (optional)
- Trim the individual flowers off of the bunches, keeping in mind the length of the stems and placement of the leaves!
- Plan a layout for your wall before you start attaching any flowers. Do you want them to go in rows? Create a semi-circle? Be sporadic? How about color-coordinated? The options are as endless as the variations of faux flowers available, so take this opportunity to make your wall exactly how you want it!
- Now it’s time to get taping. If you have walls, like our cinder block ones, that will not be damaged by hot glue, use that as an adhesive for some extra-secure flower stems. Otherwise (or if you’d like the look to be temporary) use a piece a masking tape over the middle of the flower stem to attach it to the wall. Press down with gentle pressure to make sure they don’t fall on your slumbering face!
- That’s it! Enjoy your ethereal wall decor, put on some fairy wings, and live your childhood dream.
