Bored With My Bed

Hi Mr. Kate!

My family redid our upstairs, including all the bedrooms, a few years ago. I really love most of my room, but I have a light blue-grey comforter with a flower design that I’m getting a little bored with. I’ve turned it over to make it plain blue and have been putting different quilts on top of it, but I still wish I had something different. I don’t want to buy an entirely new bedding set, so I was wondering if you (or anyone else) had any ideas on what I could do to change it or if I could DIY something more interesting.

Hi Emily!

If the comforter is a light color, you could try dying it a darker color. Another super easy DIY would be to buy fabric or an inexpensive duvet cover and use dye or fabric paint on that duvet.
