The Corpse Bride was finished in time!! Sadly only got a couple photos and none of the bottom. But that’s what next weekend will be for. Completely sewed and dyed by yours truly. And painted my entire body. Dedication haha.

For my office party, I’m going as the Cheshire Cat. I found this perfect fabric for way less than store bought options. Here is one ear and tail in progress. All the supplies were half the cost of the online options and I’m using my handy dandy hot glue gun for securing everything.

My main costume is Emily from Corpse Bride. This was all me and a sewing machine. A huge project that I’ve been working on for a month. Tonight I’ll be dyeing it the shade of blue she has around the edges. That wad of fabric on the left is the skirt. Still a ton of work to do but I’m super excited for how it looks so far.

Oh my goodness those are all too good!! That skeleton mask is adorable. Perfect balance of spookiness.

I’m all about the fall right now and with Halloween coming up, maybe some discussion about that. Some DIY Halloween stuff, costumes, parties, things like that.

I’m a Hot Junior Producer Mess.

I recently begun transitioning out of my boring receptionist job to a junior producer role for our photo studio. I’ve been given a lot of trust in developing different photoshoot ideas just for fun so we can share over social media and to clients. On my first day I was a Jane of all trades. Food stylist, photo assistant, hand model, you name it! For our first shot we did a crazy mixer explosion so I had to craft this gorgeous couture trash bag gown to protect me from the elements. There was also a fancy plastic bag hair piece but we didn’t think people could handle that much glamour in one photo, so I kept it off.

We did an awesome 4th of July photo for next month where I got to practice my Zoolander hand-modeling skills and hold two melting firecracker popsicles. I love being creative and this is finally giving me the opportunity to do that and come up with my own wacky ideas.

                  Hi Misters!!

First off, I need to say I love this new forum. I tried to keep up with introductions of the FB group but it got a little difficult so I am so happy to read more about everyone. I’m super envious of the places some of you have been too. I’m hoping to go to Europe in the next year or two. Love hearing about your cinema kick Denise! I minored in Film & Media studies and am a huge film geek. My favorite movies to watch are anything scary or Disney, which is quite the odd combination. My goal was to enter the film and television world in some capacity (I worked on the film Seven Below which is on Netflix. Warning: It’s very cheesy horror) but my path in life led me elsewhere, for now. I currently live in Chicago, originally from Cincinnati, OH. I’ve been here for almost two years and work in Marketing and Advertising, which I’m now producing some small-scale photoshoots. I have two cats I’m beyond obsessed with, Winnie Binx and Buffy Lorne (you’re guaranteed my new BFF if you know where those names are from). That’s pretty much me in a nutshell!
