So exciting that you’ll have a whole empty room to design in and decorate!! Since you are low on built-in organization, I would say to DIY it and build your own! Make an entire wall into a desk station with built in cabinets like we did in the Cous Cous room here at Mr. Kate Studios!

You can get that bookshelf-esque look with modular pieces, like we did with Patrick Starrr’s closet! Super simple and customizable, and great for organization!
For the rest of the room, I would say to put out a cute area rug and reading chair in the corner, since this desk set up will leave a lot of floor open still! Make it cozy, yet highly functional!
