Hi Mr. Kate! I’m going into high school and I’m doing my room over! It’s going to be a big project, I live in the attic and its fairly large. theres also a room at the bottom of the stairs that is going to be part of my room to, and I don’t know what to do with it. I know I want to do light colored walls I want it too look older . Kinda of like urban outfitters. I don’t know what to do so if you have any ideas let me know!

So I’m in the exact same situation as you! So my tips that I’ve learnt so far would be:

        1) have a light colour for your walls e.g white or very light grey.

        2) don’t clutter!! This is so important. Try to have at least one surface clean and each object should have its space.

        3) have a colour palette; too many colours make your room look cluttered and random. Perhaps frame an inspo board of what you want your room to look like.

        4) Plants make all the difference!! Not only do they actually help make your room more clean and are great for your health, but they add so much life.  This includes cacti and succulents too!

Hope this helps and I know I’m not Mr Kate or anything !! X
