Hey Mr. Kate! I love your design aesthetic! I am a first time mom and I love watching your videos during my daughter’s nap time! We live in a small home that has really gross brown shag carpet. I am looking to install new flooring, but wanted to know what the best tile/laminate is to make a small house appear larger? I’m going to keep the same flooring for the entire home. Hi Bianca!

Thank you so much for posting! I think it’s always safe to stick with a wood with a slight bit of age to it so it doesn’t seem too shiny and appears more like a wood than a laminate.

If a laminate is what you prefer, there are a lot of good looking wood laminates out there that can really upscale a place!
