We recently purchased a new (1950s) home and are looking to update the window treatments. we have tackled the living room windows, but many of the others are a shorter window and I don’t know what to do! What is the best way to dress a shorter window? We have our room, a guest room, dining and kitchen to take care of.
Try hanging your curtain rod higher than the actual top of your window. This will give an illusion of added height AND width. You should also try placing smaller or lower near or under the window so the eye is tricked by scale. My last tip for you is to try curtains with patterns. Vertical patterns will make the window seem higher, and horizontal patterns will make it seem wider. Good luck!
